ABOUT DEB MEYER, CFP®, CPA, CEPA
My love for personal finance started young, even reading Money Magazine (for fun) in middle school. Nerdy, but true. When it was time to declare a major in college, I followed in my mother’s footsteps and chose accounting at Saint Louis University.
Deloitte Tax was my first full-time position out of college. I then shifted into wealth management and landed at Matter Family Office, serving families of significant financial wealth for nearly 7 years.
My husband Bryan and I have navigated several life changes – the birth of 3 fabulous boys, the formation of SV CPA Services and WorthyNest®, a short stint living abroad in Spain, publishing Redefining Family Wealth, a cross-country move, and the launch of the Beyond Budgets® podcast. Our family values played into every decision.
Fast forward to today. With 20 years of experience advising families on personal finance and entrepreneurship concerns, client commonalities emerge:
“I really want to retire early and be in a financial position where I don’t have to work full-time.”
“She handles the day-to-day cash flow, and I make big picture investing decisions. Other than that, we don’t discuss money.”
“We’re so caught up in the here and now, it’s hard to plan strategically for the future.”
In these examples, you yearn to do something different. But that takes courage as you follow an unknown path. WorthyNest® was created with this tension in mind.
I love guiding parents through a holistic financial planning and investment process and inspiring them to achieve their unique goals.
